A little side table bought at a bric-a-brac store... we transformed it with a bit of milk paint to give it a new life! Here's how it was done.
Décirage, ponçage, époussetage
To prep the table, first remove traces of wax, then sand.
Préparation de la couleur - peinture au lait avec liant acrylique.

Mixing the color - milk paint with bonding agent

Première couche de peinture au lait
Applying the first layer of milk paint
Laissez sécher pour une 2ème couche éventuelle
Let dry before applying the second layer of milk paint (if needed)
En suite...ponçage de la peinture en provocant des
marques d'usure aux endroits les plus exposés
Next...distress the surface lightly in places
that are the most exposed
La petite touche supplémentaire...
La cire antiquaire pour patiner et donner un aspect vieilli
An additional touch...apply antiquing wax to add a nice
and give a realistic aged look to the table
Une fois cirée, la peinture au lait offre un fini doux et soyeux
Once you apply antiquing wax
and you buff the surface
it becomes smooth as silk!
